Larry Wilmore looked at Jeb Bush’s recent speech on Iraq — in which he blamed Hillary Clinton and President Obama for the problems there — which triggered an alarm on his show: “Revisionist history alert! History is being rewritten!”
Larry summed it up: “Basically your brother took a big stinking dump, didn’t flush — right, sorry, that’s what it’s like; hate to be graphic, ladies, I apologize — broke the toilet. You admit you would’ve done the same thing. And now you’re trying to blame it on the nice lady down the hall who’s deleting her emails! That’s not right!”
The Nightly Show contributor Mike Yard also highlighted an Obama administration initiative to expand Internet access in public housing projects — featuring HUD secretary (and potential Hillary Clinton running mate) Julian Castro. But Mike concluded it was all a big conspiracy: “It all comes down to this: No thanks, government! I’ll get my Internet the old fashioned way — steal it from my neighbors.”
Seth Meyers looked at the latest news from the presidential race: “Donald Trump gave a speech yesterday where he accused Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton of being under the control of lobbyists, special interests, and deep-pocketed donors. Trump said we should vote for him — because he’s not under control at all.”
And from Conan O’Brien: “Despite all of his sexist comments, a new poll reveals that 20 percent of Republican women still support Donald Trump. Still! Yeah. When asked why, the women said, ‘Because he’s paying us alimony.”
